✔ Early effects of aging can be seen in the forehead and brow region. Horizontal wrinkles, frown lines, and drooping of the brow can all result in a tired, angry, or sad expression.

✔ Forehead lift surgery is aimed at reducing some of the lines and wrinkles in the forehead and elevating the brows to a higher, more youthful position.

✔ Given the “limited” surgical manipulation, healing is rapid and post-operative swelling resolves within days.

✔ Most often, this procedure can be performed successfully using an endoscopic approach. This technique allows the surgeon to work through small incisions created behind the hairline. One incision can be used to introduce a narrow telescope, while the other “port” can be used to introduce the instruments used to help elevate the brow. The incisions heal well and are hidden within the hair of the scalp.

✔ Open approaches can be performed through an incision hidden at the junction of the forehead with the hairline or within the hairline if more elevation is required than can be delivered with an endoscopic approach.
